Inspirational Photos: August Sander

Photos inspired by a german photographer who died in cologne. His name was August Sander. Each photo was a type he would take because he took people doing everyday actions Similar faces and expressions but thats the beauty of his work. He was able to capture what other photographers could not. He was able to show how artistic a simple background could be even with the person being the center of attention.
When my group and I tried to imitate his photographs we focused more on the background rather than the person who was being our model. as we focused on the setting, we realized the model was coming out great also. August's method for taking pictures was more than affective.

I cropped the rule of thirds this way because the images become smaller and smaller as you go down.

Rules of third

I chose these pictures because Alberto is in motion. the rule of thirds makes everything better. Also the effects adds more definition to his persona.

My five pictures

I used the mirror effect to show how my motions can be imitated.
I used the thermal effect cause it changed the lighting around me.
I used the sepia effect cause it reminds me of the old times before there was color on photographs.
I used the sunset effect because it creates a different background, one that I am not in.
I used the X-ray effect because it made me look like a paranormal creature.

First Assignment: Observing Light

While my group and I were outside observing light, I realized that lighting can make a difference.
